Screenings at the big room
An invitation to see the world anew
April 2022
Picture
On Friday, 22 April 2022 we will be screening the first in a series of documentaries and films that give voice to those communities, human and non-human, which are marginalised and excluded from mainstream narratives.

Title: The Street
Director: Zed Nelson
Date: Friday, 22 April 2022
Start time:6.30pm
Duration:1:34 hours + optional 30 minute post screening discussion

Overview: some of the businesses on Hoxton Street have been around for over a hundred years.  Recent times have witnessed an explosion of property development.  The locals feel the exclusion of being priced out, and wonder who's to blame.

After showing discussion:  There will be an optional 30 minute discussion after the showing of the documentary for those who are interested in discussing the themes raised.

"For... communities, and nations to succeed today and survive tomorrow, they must be deeply democratic – that is, everyone and every feeling must be represented. “

- Arnold Mindell
